About
Hey, I'm Mark.
I'm an author, speaker, and host of The Mark Casto Program — a husband, a father of four, and a good-news messenger for Kingdom leaders who are tired of building audiences and ready to build family. After years of pastoring inside a building, I stepped out of the four-walled model to help the church recover what it was always meant to be.

The story
From a building to a table.
I was born and raised in West Virginia. For years I pastored inside a building, the way most of us were taught. Over time I became convinced the church was never meant to be an audience gathered around a stage — it was meant to be a family gathered around a table. So I stepped out of the four-walled model: not away from the church, but toward what it was always meant to be.
Today I live in Covington, Georgia, with my wife and our four children, and every week on The Mark Casto Program I look at what's happening in our culture through a Christ-centered lens and ask how it should shape the way we think, live, and lead.
I founded The Shepherd's Tent, a 501(c)(3), to build a resting place for weary leaders and a home for a lonely generation — through teaching, writing, free discipleship resources, and a grassroots movement of family tables across the nation.
The books
Four books, one message.
Every one of them is a door out of performance religion and into the empowering grace of Christ's finished work.
The Mark Casto Program
Slow down. Think clearly. Lead from rest.
A weekly program for Kingdom leaders who want to engage culture with wisdom, courage, and hope. Each episode looks at current events through a Christ-centered lens and asks what it means for how we live and lead — and sends you home rested rather than driven.
Speaking
A voice for Kingdom leaders.
Whether the room is a church, a conference, or a podcast microphone, Mark brings clarity, conviction, and a good-news message. He has shared stages across the U.S., been featured on global television and top-rated podcasts, and been selected as a faith-point pick for Books-A-Million nationwide.
- The church as a family, not an audience
- Rest in Christ's finished work — for leaders stuck in the grind
- Recovering Christian hope from fear-based prophecy
- Exposing the myths of spiritual warfare (from Liar)
How booking works
Mark has never charged a fee to speak and never will. He asks only for a love offering (or the opportunity to receive one) and travel covered — so no local church is ever a burden's width away from the message.
